Time: 1:00-2:30pm

This session, co-led by Cadence Okuwobi and Jazz Academy Director Ralph DiSylvestro, will give students insight into how to prepare for auditions and what they can audition for as high schoolers. The session will begin by hashing out the audition process from start to finish, with tips on how to stand out and stay encouraged while preparing. The session will then provide an overview of summer programs that students can apply to, such as NYO Jazz, Skidmore, Jazz House Kids, and SJA, along with crucial information about the programs from students who have attended themselves. This session is perfect for students to participate with their caregivers or for teachers with high school-aged students. We will have ample time for Q&A!

What will you learn?
