    What to expect at our sessions

    At each of our workshops, a local professional, along with high school student Cadence Okuwobi, will co-teach in an activity-based lecture format. We provide engaging slides and hand-outs to go along with each session and ample time for Q&A! Attending a session also comes with the opportunity to win music book giveaways and a jazz summer camp scholarship.

    Frequently Asked Questions from Our Students and Parents

    Do I Have to Be a Jazz Academy Student to Attend?

    Not at all! All sessions are free to everyone, so bring yourself and a friend. The only parts of the program that require you to be a jazz academy student are auditions day and the jazz summer program scholarship.

    Is the program Only for Students or Can Parents Attend Too?

    Both parents and students are welcome to attend. The more the merrier!

    Do I need to RSVP to attend?

    Yes! We ask that you RSVP through the website or google form so that we know how many people are coming and can plan accordingly. 

    Is this program limited to jazz students or can classical and pop musicians attend too

    While the program content is geared towards jazz musicians, any genre of musician can attend, and has a lot they can learn from the sessions!
